Early Virginia Marriage Study

I have temporarily paused sharing family pages, in order to do more research that could impact our results. We are trying to better understand certain factors of life during the colonial time period, like:

  • At what age did people attend school in Virginia?
  • What kind of education did our Newman friends and family have?
  • What was considered wealthy in Virginia?
  • What ages did people really marry at in Virginia?

I’ve recently learned the Glebe House for Vaughter’s Church in Essex is still standing. My husband and I will go take pictures of it soon and share them on this website.

Thank you for reading,

Julie
